Fiona Annis (b. 1983) is a Montr√©al-based artist whose practice emphasizes the use of photography and other time-based media. Following her Master’s degree at the Glasgow School of Art, Fiona completed a practice-led PhD at Concordia University. Fiona has presented work nationally and internationally at artist-run centers, university galleries and museums including: The AC Institute (New York City), The Canadian Centre for Architecture (Montr√©al) Goldsmith’s University (London), Gallery44 (Toronto), VuPhoto (Quebec City) and The Art Gallery of Alberta (Edmonton). Her work has been published in BlackFlash Magazine, Front: Contemporary Art & Ideas, and Imagining Science, winner of the New York Book Show Award. Her work figures in the permanent collection of the Museum of Civilization in Quebec City, the Penumbra Foundation in New York City, as well as other corporate and private collections. Along with her individual practice concurrent projects include an ongoing collaboration with The Society of Affective Archives.
