In the beginning of summer 2020, an assessment was performed on the lab activities and uses of the space and equipment to evaluate access. The conclusion was that VR stations are not safe due to health concerns related to the use of VR headsets and peripherals by different students and faculty members. The Immersive Reality Lab space will remain close and activities will be conducted online. Soon a series of online workshops on VR development, animation and multiplayer VR will be announced as well as the technical online protocol to mentor existing projects and starting new VR projects. All these measures are part of the already existing workflow established at the beginning of summer. Please click here for further reading.
